Robin is a physiotherapist who also has a passion for and is building a personal Finance brand.
He is helping individuals learn more about Finance in addition to his passion for health and wellness. A few highlights from our conversation: Health: Health over wealth! Robin talked about putting health first! In this podcast, he shares a few simple stretches to do for many of us who are sedentary.
Small actions can have a meaningful impact. Another Robin (Sharma) has a quote that I love. “Good health is a crown on the head of a well person that only a sick person can see.” Wealth: We had a great conversation about how we can all take control of our Finances. We talked about being intentional with saving and spending as well as some personal Finance strategies.
Here are some of the great Finance books we discussed:
The Psychology of Money, Morgan Housel
The Wealthy Barber, David Chilton
Rich dad, poor dad, Robert Kiyosaki and
Sharon Lechter The Marshmallow test and
The 5 regrets of the dying: Our conversation ended with a fascinating study (the marshmallow test) that often predicts future success which seemed to tie the conversation together. Delayed gratification is often a predictor of success.
As James Clear says ‘Every action is a vote for our future self.’ We ended on a brilliant note by discussing a phenomenal book called ‘The 5 Regrets of the Dying’ by Bronnie Ware who was a palliative care nurse.
Here are the 5 regrets:
1) I wish I’d had the courage to live a true life to myself, not the life that others expected of me.
2) I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.
3) I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
4) I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5) I wish that I had let myself be happier.
